Samira Panah, Co-Founder

Samira is attuned to the powerful relationship that can be forged between digital media and technology. As a manager for media operations with a Fortune 50 technology company, Samira has led strategic high-tech alignment and business transformation with some of the world’s largest media conglomerates.
Her humanitarian work focuses on the abolishment of human trafficking and she has worked as an advocate with the Half the Sky Movement, the New Somaly Fund, and Global Poverty Project. Through her efforts she has raised over a quarter of million dollar for survivors of the sex trade resulting in close to 100 lives saved.  
Samira holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from University of Arizona and an MBA from Fordham University.

Hitha palepu, CO-FOUNDER

Committed to both business and innovation, Hitha served as the vice president of business development at SciDose, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on enhanced formulations of oncology and hospital injectible products, and has executed licensing deals valued at over $500 million.
She is also the founder and editor of Hitha On The Go, a travel and lifestyle website featured in Forbes, The New York Times, and USA Today. Her first book, How To Pack, will be published in March 2017.
A passionate advocate for girls’ education and increasing female presence in STEM fields, Hitha is a mentor to the Athena Digital and Design Agency and a member of the Athena Leadership Council, both at Barnard College.
Hitha holds a bachelor’s in biochemistry and a bachelor’s in history from the University of Washington.

ANIL gondi, non-executive director

Anil is a private investor and portfolio manager, and co-heads Balyasny Asset Management’s New York office.
His specialties are investments in global media and internet. His key private investments have included the Business of Fashion, Cocos Pure, Naked Apartments and Gnossem Fashion.
With a multinational commitment to fund raising for improved education and health, Anil builds the financial resources needed for nonprofits to create more positive change.
Anil holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from McGill University.
